CP_small_narrowCynthia Poole has extensive experience in all facets of the design, management, analysis and reporting of complex quantitative research studies targeting audiences of interest on behalf of public sector clients and commercial organizations. Her range of research and analysis expertise includes competitor analysis and tracking, the identification and interpretation of trends, and brand research. An accomplished methodologist, Cynthia's expertise includes online and telephone survey design and implementation with difficult-to-reach public sector audiences. She has more than fifteen years of experience in research, analysis and financial management in industries including newspaper, cable television, electric utilities and food.

Prior to joining Market Connections, Cynthia was a Business Research Manager for McDonald's USA, utilizing syndicated and secondary research to conduct data analyses in the evaluation of promotions, consumer trends and new products. She also framed industry data and presented business reviews to franchise owner operators. She later spent four years as Regional Controller, managing an operating income greater than $175 million. She has also worked in market research for Discovery Communications, Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), and The Washington Post.

Cynthia earned an M.B.A. from The George Washington University and a B.A. in Psychology from Dartmouth College. She is a member of AFCEA and NVTC and serves as Membership Chair on the board of Women in Technology. She also maintains an Expert level Professional Researcher Certification (PRC) from the Marketing Research Association (MRA).
