Director of Research Services

DG_small_narrowDave Glantz has over 20 years of international business experience as a consultant, published writer and educator, and 15 years of supplier-side experience in market research. Dave designs, manages, analyzes and presents findings on qualitative and quantitative custom research projects for government agencies, leading contractors and Fortune 500 businesses, using in-person, phone-based and online methods. He specializes in qualitative research, and is an expert in concept, message and ad testing, as well as brand and satisfaction research. Dave has moderated more than 300 focus groups and hundreds of in-depth interviews in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific with senior military and government decision-makers, congressional staffers, executives, consumers and students. Subjects covered include high tech product and service concepts, information assurance, cybersecurity, political issues and government policy, trade show and event research, healthcare, education, career and employment issues, and a wide variety of financial topics.

Prior to Market Connections, Dave was Senior Research Director at Rockbridge Associates, a full-service market research firm, where he conducted a wide range of qualitative and quantitative custom research projects for leading firms, including Sallie Mae, AOL, Verizon, WPNI, San Antonio Federal Credit Union, and Amway; and for such national associations and non-profits as the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), National School Boards Association (NSBA), American Association of Community Colleges (AACC), and the Internet Society. He also designed and conducted usability studies, managed quantitative satisfaction and loyalty tracking studies, conducted litigation research, and advised on Rockbridge's global research strategy.

Dave began his career in market research at Angus Reid Group (now Ipsos-Reid) and rose to manage the operational aspects of several of Angus Reid Group's largest global research projects. He was responsible for the quality control of studies conducted in up to 40 countries, with research themes ranging from global Internet penetration and e-commerce trends to a wide variety of public affairs-related issues. He was a regular contributor to World Monitor (a digest of Angus Reid Group's global public opinion polling data) and The Angus Reid Report. He also developed and consulted on study-related press releases.

Dave holds a M.A. in Political Studies (International Relations) and B.A., History, from the University of Manitoba in Canada. He is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA) and American Marketing Association (AMA).
