Market Connections’ President and CEO, Lisa Dezzutti, discusses the rise in mobile device use by government employees. In the 5th Anniversary Federal Media and Marketing Study, released in May 2013, Market Connections called 2013 the “Year of Mobility,” and their recent Federal Mobility PulsePollTM with FierceGovernment IT revealed that 82% of government employees feel their mobile devices are critical to their jobs, and 81% say mobile devices increase productivity. Additionally, the Federal Media and Marketing Study showed 67% of government decision-makers are now using smartphones, which is up from 58 percent in 2012. In addition, tablet usage nearly doubled in the past year, from 31 percent in 2012 to 60 percent in 2013. The research findings reinforce the need for enhanced mobility solutions.
