The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) 4.3 Air Vehicle Engineering Department awarded a five-year $30.3 Million Single Award IDIQ contract to AMERICAN SYSTEMS. NAVAIR’s mission is to provide full lifecycle support of naval aviation aircraft, weapons, and systems operated by Sailors and Marines and provide efficient, high-quality air vehicle engineering support for the U.S. Navy’s aircraft.
AMERICAN SYSTEMS will support these missions by supporting Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). The company will provide specialized engineering and technical services in support of the development and operation of state-of-the-art air vehicle dynamic simulations and architecture, collision avoidance systems algorithm design and engineering analysis. It will also support system acquisition in support of current and future piloted and desktop engineering simulation capabilities, aircraft trainer devices, and Department of Defense manned aircraft and unmanned air vehicles. The work will be performed in the Patuxent River, MD area.
