Congratulations to our clients and friends at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) for their recent $44M contract win supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) through traumatic brain injury (TBI) research.
Continuing Support for Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center
Since 2014, GDIT has provided research and analysis supporting DHA’s Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC). The contract win will allow GDIT to continue to conduct research on TBI, diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation methods and the effect of repetitive exposure to sub-concussive blasts from weapons for the next 18 months. This includes supporting 21 sites, including military treatment facilities, major trauma rehabilitation sites within the Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and DHA headquarters located in Fairfax, Virginia.
“We are excited to continue this journey and advance new discoveries on behalf of America’s wounded warriors, their families and anyone suffering from this type of injury,” said Vice President Kamal Narang, head of GDIT’s Health Sector.
GDIT will continue to assist in the development of the pathway of care for TBI patients through data collection, analysis and the measurement of health outcomes. GDIT will also develop educational material and assist in the training of clinical providers for the treatment of TBI.
