The Department of Defense is working to consolidate its health community’s legacy data-sharing initiatives and expand the capabilities of existing Defense Medical Information Exchange (DMIX) systems. On March 20, 2015, the Department of the Interior awarded ManTech International Corporation a task order to provide IT services in support of the DoD DMIX Program Management Office. ManTech will provide software analysis, design, development, and testing and implementation to further this initiative. The program goal is to streamline existing capabilities into a single, reliable data-sharing mechanism, while reducing redundancy and continuing to support the secure exchange of standardized health data with all partners.
“Building the data bridge from legacy electronic health records to DoD, Veterans Affairs and private sector providers is critical to ensuring quality healthcare for our military personnel and veterans,” said Daniel J. Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Mission Solutions & Services Group. “ManTech has supported the interoperability of health data between DoD and the VA since 2010, and we are pleased to continue providing innovative solutions for this important initiative.”
The task order, which was awarded under ManTech’s General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule 70 contract, has a 1-year base period of performance and two 6-month option periods, with a value of $10.9 million.
ManTech provides support to critical national security programs for approximately 50 federal agencies through approximately 1,000 current contracts. The company’s expertise includes cybersecurity; command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions and services; IT modernization and sustainment; intelligence/counterintelligence solutions and support; systems engineering; healthcare analytics and IT; global logistics support; test and evaluation; and environmental, range and sustainability services.
ManTech’s continued support of major information security missions has earned the company a FedPulse Winning Contractor commendation.
