Winning Contractor: Salient Federal Solutions Secures New Contracts, Enhances Mobile Offerings and Hires a Government Leader - (Archived)

With a focus on providing IT solutions that protect information and people, Salient Federal Solutions helps the federal government advance the national security mission with IT and engineering services in the intelligence, defense, homeland security and federal civilian domains.

The company has been securing a significant amount of new contracts in 2013, as well as offering a new mobile center of excellence and adding new executives from the Intelligence Community (IC).

Salient Federal Solutions recently made headlines with the announcement that it received a $5.7 million contract to provide software engineering services, operations and maintenance for the Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) Electronic Filing (EF) System.  This system is vital because it allows the FEC to review statements and financial reports filed by political committees participating in the Federal election process.

Salient also won a contract from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Federal Investigative Services (FIS) to provide improved database performance for performing security clearance background checks.

In addition, Salient Federal Solutions recently launched its Salient Mobility Center of Excellence (MCoE), which is a center focused on implementing mobility solutions across Salient’s expanding customer base.  The MCoE offers strategic and tactical thought leadership with regards to the use of mobility solutions for government.  This includes building proof-of concept prototypes, and deploying operational solutions to help government customers with today’s unique mobile challenges.

Salient Federal Solutions is also enhancing its executive bench strength with the appointment of Charles Sowell as a Senior Vice President.  Sowell brings more than two decades of experience in the IC and was previously the Deputy Assistant Director for Special Security at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).

The company was also recently honored by the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), which named Brad Antle of Salient Federal Solutions as a nominee for the 2013 Corporate Growth Executive of the Year.

For winning a steady stream of contracts, we well as enhancing its mobile offerings and bringing on a former government executive to its leadership team, we are proud to announce that Salient Federal is this week’s “Winning Contractor.” Stay tuned for more posts about contractors proving to be nimble in the face of challenging times in our new “Winning Contractor” series.
