This National Cybersecurity Month, Be Mindful of Where the Greatest Threats Lie

October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and it’s a great time to evaluate potential threats and solutions. SolarWinds recently commissioned Market Connections to find out where the biggest potential threats are. And according to the survey results, the greatest threats come from within. The majority of the 200 survey respondents said they believe malicious insider threats are just as damaging as external threats. Winning Contractor: DLA Awards SAIC a $105 Million Supply Chain Management Contract

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) will continue to provide facilities maintenance logistics support to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in the south-central U.S. Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, SAIC will provide tailored logistics support (TLS) for maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) requirements at Department of Defense (DoD) and federal installations in Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. The single-award, firm-fixed-price contract has a five-year period of performance and an estimated total contract value of $105 million. Shortly before the 2015–2016 school year started, Text2Them Inc. announced a partnership with Carahsoft Technology Corp., to provide students with the ability to reach their school via anonymous two-way text messaging. Text2Them’s “Text 2 Stop It” program is combating the growing problems of bullying, campus assaults, drugs and suicides in schools and colleges.
